cant belive it has been so long since,i last posted on my blog. i am going to have to make a special effort to post more. i have joined a great forum its called crafty swapers, and i am really enjoying all the swaps i have signed up to 2 cj's on there and the ones that are coming round are fab, i love seeing other peoples work, it is really inspiring. if anyone is intrested in joining this forum just pop along and join up there a really nice crowd and very helpfull.

well i had promised i would keep up with my blog, well i had every intention of doing but then the boys have descovered bebo and i dont get a lot of chances to get on the pc anymore, just sneaked ten mins now which is hard to belive that its half term and none of them are on the pc.
went to see tim holtz demo yesterday, i was entrhalled by his tags,the man is a wizard with distress inks. great day and lots of insperation, did spend a little to much though.bought some of his ATC stamps, just mini versions of his larger stamps and collaged, been having a play about with these this morning,(should have been packing for my hols)
cant wait for the harrogate show at the weekend, im going on saturday, leaving my card at home and only bringing what spendable cash i have with me , i really shouldnt be spending at all as im going to spain on monday for a holiday, and should really be saving the money for that. but you cant go to a craft fair and not spend that sort of defeats the object.
will try and upload some of this mornings atcs when they are all finished. and if i get to get another 10 mins on here later.

i played around with stamping and utee, i never have much luck with stamping but liked the end result with this one must have beeen having a good day. so this is the last lay out of 2007 that i did.

i have set myself along with some cyber friends on uks a new years resolution that we will complete at least one lo a week in 2008. this should be manageable. i can do a lo at my weekly crop , maybe this will be the first new year resolution that i dont break.

well at long last im all fixed up, got a new pc and reconnection to broadband, its been ages since i last added to my blog , but the winter nights are here so i suppose i will be spending many of them at my pc online so i have no excuse now not to blog. its very early in the morning now so im off to bed and i will play catch up tomorrow i think my blog page needs a new look.

im still waiting for my pc. it turned out that there was a fault with the hard drive sticking,so all my pics favorites ptrograms and documents are gone, good news is it is still in warrenty and on its way to germany now so hopefully i will have a new one return of postand by this time next week ill be back on line from home.

i just figured out how to use word art for months i have been trying to use this and never could get it right well thanks to a tutorial on ukscrappers i managed it and learnt how to reverse the words so i can now use this to make my titles for my layouts i will still have to cut these out by hand but i dont mid that at all for now.i have an xyron die cut machine but it is very limited to the alphabets and the fonts avalible, so now the skys the limit, ive been downloading some cool fonts. i got a parking ticket today i forgot to display the parking disk, im pretty p****d about it id only gone to dunelm for so really good flowers to use for crafting only 35p each so my £3 spend turned out to cost £63 not a happy bunny.!! it was on there own carpark as well could understand if i had parked on the main street.

my challenge finished today, and all though i havent posted all my layouts yet i did very well on the using my stash side, of teh challenge, the biggest problem was finding the photos to use on my layouts.

well my little proffesor is 7 today well really its the 29th so for 3 years he gets to choose the day he wants it either 28th or the 1st so he picked today so he didnt have to share it with colin his brother-in-law., he got pretty much the same as oran only his rabbit is black,and a birthday cakes with a dinosaur on he says its a tiranusuras rex and he probably is wright, i wonder where he gets all his information from being only six he hasnt started to read properly so i know its not from books, he comes out with the most amazing stuff, this morning he informed me that a crocus had been recorded flowering in january, my replie was oh how nice he was infuriated, and promptly replied dont you realise mummy that means global warming is getting worse, that was me told off, it made me think i really should recycle more and do my bit to preserve the planet for my children and grandchildren so i will have to look around and see what i can recycle for my scrapbook projects a bit harder lol!!
last night i ventured out to the crop, off i went on my own to join a bunch of amazing and friendly women, it was a small group and very inviting, julie who runs it was very nice, these ladies are so talented they helped me to make an exploding box as a mothers day pressie for my mum, so if my sisters are reading this i need a photo of each of the kids can you send me some please children and grandchildren, its mothersday in 19 days. so i need them quick. some of the layouts these ladies were doing were breath taking, and it left me feeling quite inferiour but julie explained that when she started the crop they were all at the same stage as me so i dont feel to bad now. so im going to be going on a regular basis now most tuesday eveningsits a bit of a drive down dark windy country roads but the nights are starting to get a bit longer so the drive wont be that bad.not long to go on my scrap challenge now, i can feel a big spend coming on.....

well he made it in one peice my baby is five today, dosent time just fly past its quite scarrey really, so for his birthday he got a baby rabbit a white one that looks like it has eyeliner on its very cute, also a couple of board games and of course no birtday is complete with out a cake.

the crop i was so looking forward too tonight is probably a no no my scrap mummy cant make it and i dont have the details of where it is so i probably wont make it, im so dissapointed about that.
had made arrangements with my sister paula to go help her on the allotment to day but its pouring down with rain, so we didnt go she is delighted that some of the seeds she has planted with the boys have started to sprout and she cant wait for the boyss to go up and see them

well is this late at night or early in the morning. i managed to get pics of the little paper shoes i made but there a bit fuzzy, not very clear, i put an AA battery along side them so you can see the size of them and yes... 1 or 2 are not completely finished , the glue i was using wasn't fast enough setting so i will have to look out for some quick setting glue before i do anymore.and also make sure i print the pattern on the back of the paper. but they are adorable, i just need to figure out what im gonna do with them now.

orans handy work from fridays mud pie explosion

at the wild boar park we went in the cafe for our dinner, we took a seat next to the window, outside the window was a pond and just above someone had put up lots of different bird feeders the view was great, lots of little wild birds were there having lunch to, they had also put up a poster next to the window of all the birds so you could recognise ,which were visiting the feeder's, this was great for those who arent well up on birds , we didnt need it though Ewan could tell us exactly which bird was which pretty amazing for a six year old,he has a great knowledge of wildlife and the natural world i think david attenbourogh has some real competion, while most kids are running around shoutig and causing mayhem he is taking in everything around and he can spot an insect or animal track at a hundred pace's...... He really is amazing on the facts he knows about all kinds of animals. he also informed us that the birds in our avairy were long tail tits and not coal tits,and i have no reason to doubt his information.

my favorite colour swap 2 lady recieved her parcel today, which was pretty amazing to say i didnt post it untill late friday afternoon and was told it would take 3-4 working days to be delivered. any way she has it and was pleased with the contents here for those of yu that dont know i signed up for a favorite colour swap the details of which are here its been fun shoping for someone else epecially as i have been on a month long scrap diet just using my stash and not buying anything. this gave me my retail therapy i was desperatly craving. my challenge ends in a couple of days so i will be able to go spend spend spend. i still need to post my layouts for the rest of my challenge and ill get round to uploading them aap

two little birds

yesterday we had two little birds stuck in our avairy, we think they were coal tits but we arent sure, the door on the avairy had broken off in the bad winds, good job we didnt have any finches or canary's in there at the time, well these two little birds somehow found there way in there and were making a real racket, i was frightend a cat would get in and corner them and hurt them, i think they were just looking for a place to nest and there is a huge nesting box in there, once in there i was convinced they couldnt find there way back out they kept flying back and forward and landing on the perch above the door but not actually finding the opening, i got simon home from work to help get them out one had already gotten out by this time the other just flew from one side to the other acting very distressed, simon went in there and tied a bag to the top of the door to distract it from landing on the perch, but it didnt do the job, then it promptly flew past him and out the door, lol!!! if they come back in ill just leave them to get on with it, and make there nest in there as long as the door is ajar i think they will be fine.

i joined ukscrappers some time ago and was put up for adoption, basically they pair you up with another member and you can pick there brains, well it turns out its the lady i was talking with yesterday, that lives quite near to me so that will be great, hopefully there will be a great inprovement with my layouts, now i have a mentor to explain and show me hints and tips.

power washer exchanged

i took the power washer back and guess what....... yeah you guessed.... they didnt have another well not the same model that is, so being as my lovely youngest child decided to decorate the living room window and front door with mud cakes, i was desperate for one so i had to put an extra 20 pound to one, not a happy bunny about that, Oran's explanation for doing what he did was that Ewan was pulling faces at him through the window and annoying him,
will this child survive to making up five next week............, not if he carrys on like he has this week any longer, we didnt go into the reason of the mud all down the front door, after telling him off for the windows and expecting a sorry mummy all i got was a ok BIG BUM!!. boy is he treading on thin ice.

i couldnt resist i just had to have a go at making these and they turned out quite well.... really cute. so i got carried away and made more and more, now i have all these cute little shoes and absolutley no idea of what to do with them.... any ideas anyone?

Bowland wild boar park

had a trip here today got lots of pics il post tommorrow, its to late to upload right now. we had a lovely day out, and the boys came home with two baby bunny rabbits, i couldnt say no they were so cute just running around in the barn, it was fun watching simon and joe one of the workers, trying to catch the rabbits, boy were they fast, the rabbits that is, we have this strange occurance when its the boys birthdays simon always comes home with baby something or others, last year it was six2 week old ducklings.

i have more exciting things to tell about our day out but you will have to wait for that till everything is sorted if its not to late

just look at these adorable shoes made from paper there only 7 cm, i just have to try and make these from some of my scraps. dont know what i will do with them when there done ,but i just have to have a go!!

i made my first ATC

i made my first artist trading card ever, its very basic and i enjoyed doing it cause it was one of thoses do in an hour projects so i am going to include it in my box of goodies for my colourswap match, cant give you all the details of what else i have included in case she by chance reads my blog, but im sure she will show off her goodies on her blog, im off to the pot office in a while to post it off to her,hopefully she will get it in a few days. the picture isnt very clear of the ATC but i dont thin it too bad for a first try.

i lifted this off humbugs blog im sure she wont mind but when i read it i thought how true those were the days, can we have them back please.

Congratulations to all the kids born in the 1940's 50's 60's and 70's

First, we survived being born to mothers who smoked and/or drank while they carried us.

They took aspirin, ate blue cheese dressing, tuna from a tin, and didn't get tested for diabetes. Then after the trauma, our baby cots were covered with bright coloured lead based paints.

We had no childproof lids on medicine bottles, doors or cabinets and when we rode our bikes, we had no helmets, not to mention the risks we took hitchhiking.

As children, we would ride in cars with no seat belts or air bags.

Riding in the back of a van -loose- was always great fun.

We drank from garden hosepipes and not from a bottle.

We shared one drink with four friends from one bottle and no one actually died from this.

We ate cakes, white bread and real butter and drank pop with sugar in it, but we weren't overweight because we were always playing outside.

We would leave home in the morning and play all day, as long as we were back when the street lights came on.

No one was able to reach us all day, and we were ok.

We would spend hours building our go-karts out of scraps and then ride them down the hill, only to find we forgot the brakes. After running into the bushes a few times, we learned to solve the problem.

We did not have Playstations, Nintendo's, X-Boxes, no video games at all, no 99 channels on cable, no video tape movies, no surround sound, no cell phones, no text messaging, no personal computers, no internet or internet chat rooms.......... we had friends and we went outside and found them.

We fell out of trees, got cuts, broke bones and teeth and there were no lawsuits from these accidents.

We played with worms and mud pies made from dirt, and the worms did not live in us for ever. Made up games with sticks and tennis balls and although we were told it would happen, we did not poke our eyes out.

We rode bikes or walked to a friend’s house and knocked on the door or rang the bell, or just yelled for them.

Local teams had try outs and not everyone made the team.

Those who didn't had to learn to deal with the disappointment. Imagine that!

The idea of a parent bailing us out if we broke the law was unheard of.

They actually sided with the law.

This generation has produced some of the best risk-takers, problem solvers and inventors ever. The past 50 years have been an explosion of innovation and new ideas.

We had freedom, failure, success and responsibility, and we learned how to deal with it all.

And you are one of them! Congratulations,

You might want to share this with others, who have had the luck to grow up as kids, before the lawyers and Government regulated our lives for our own good.

And while you are at it, forward it to your kids so they will know how brave their parents were. How much more political correctness, take no blame society, misplaced charity and one sided tolerance can WE put up with before we finally sort things out!!!

soda bread

i was asked for the reciepe for soda bread by chris, this is my granny's original reciepe given to me by my uncle dessie he makes it all the time and its yummy. so here it is enjoy and let me know how it turned out

Soda bread is very simple to make.This is most important. Turn on your oven [Gas mark 8] before you start to make the bread as it needs to be very hot for the bread to turn out right You need 1 lb of plain flour,1/2 pt of Buttermilk[the tesco one works alright but the real one is better] 1 level teaspoon of salt 1 level teaspoon of breadsoda [Bicarbonate of soda]
Sift the flour .salt and breadsoda into a bowl
Make a well in centre,Add buttermilk and mix from the centre in [Just like cement]
I find using a wooden spoon best for mixing,Be careful not to add too much buttermilk ,dont add it all at the one time. Mixture should not be sloppy.
Turn out onto a floured board and Knead it very slightly [Just one or two turns inward] Shape into a round .Put it into a 8" GREASED tin Cut a deep cross into it and cover the tin with an ovenproof plate [Stops the crust getting too hard] Bake in the middle of the oven for around 40 minutes [Ovens vary] Test if baked by tapping the bottom ,It should sound hollow.

ok so now ive put the washer, dryer and dishwasher on, taken the dog out, and had two boiled eggs for dinner,
and they were yummy,
boiled eggs always remind me of when i was little, on sundays we would be taken to our granny's house, in dublin and she always gave us boiled eggs for our tea, with home made soda bread and a big cup of tea and freshly baked scones she had been baking all afternoon real butter not margarine,and home made jam. and there was always tons of fresh home grown tomatoes. god im making my mouth water just thinking about all that lovely food.

ive also uploaded my most recent layouts and spent some time looking for things i knew where there but now there gone, dont you hate that i bought a magazine the other day put it on the table, turned around to get it and it was gone, it still hsnt turned up yet,i had some photo's of my neice's baby that she sent me in an email and i know i never deleted it but just went to get it and its gone too, that is one of my pet hates. i had just got myself in the mood to do a girly pink layout.

well we are a good way through feb now and im still going strong on my challenge.got a couple of layout done, the hardest part now is finding pics i want to make a layout with, but i got a new camera last night (new to me) its a little complicated, all buttons and settings and stuff but i suppose ill work it out soon enough, so im hoping to get some good pics with it, when i figure it out.

well it was worth the drive down to angelsey cause we got a pitch for the season on the site we wanted, so the first of april we will be bringing the caravan down, we had a walk around some of our favorite places and had a picnic on the beach, yeah in feb. the recent storms had moved some rock that we hadnt noticed before but the tide was a long way out so maybe that made them more noticable, i found a warehouse yesterday while driving about you know one of those that most stuff is only a pound and guess what yeah there was all sorts of stuff for scrapping and card making, and i did resist but i bought some plants for my sisters allotment they were great value 3 for a fiver and they were the half grown kind in a bag not the little seedling stuff so i have lupins and holyhock to put on there, also got some cute little fairy's on sticks to put in the garden, there were all sorts of bargains in there i could of got really carried away in there so i will be frequenting here often through the summer, hope they have the scrap booking stuff left when i go next time. my pics arent great i only have a cheap little camera and it was starting to go dark

the boys had a good time exploring all the rock pools and of course Oran

the muck magnet did get wet through ewan lost his balance stumbled and knocked oran of his feet head over heals staright in to a pool of water so he was drenched up to his waist, good job i had the foresight to bring a towel and a spare set of clothes. we collected bags of seeweed for my sisters allotment for the potatoes and now the

boot of my car stinks awfull, good job we have a valeter in the house. Guess what he is going to be doing with his sunday afternoon

its a lovely sunny day

a bit chilly but nice and bright so the washing machine has been doing over time since i got up this morning i have managed to get two line fulls pegged out and another in the washer doing. i love washing all pegged out blowing in the wind and the smell of it when it is dry. and im proud of my self for not just throwing it in the dryer.

well im off to do the rest of my jobs now and then i may have time to do a few layouts

well i havent got much done on my challenge for a week now, but i managed to get two layouts together, yesterday i spent most of my day on my sisters allotment with the kids helping her get it dug over and ready for planting out

im off to do my secret colour swap shopping see if there is anymore goodies i can buy for her. i received her questionaire back but i still feel that it will be all guess work and hope that she will like what i send her. i cant say what i buy in case she is like me and reads all the blogs of the people signed up for it and gets some incling of who her colour swap match is. i will let you know what i got for her when i have posted it off to her and its well on its way

we are going to have a drive down to angelsey tomorrow, we love it there. we are hoping to get a site for the season for our caravan, we have been trying to get on this site for a season for about 3 years but its always well booked for the sites years up front we have had our names down for 2 years just waiting. we do stay on here when we go but its usally just for the weekend. there is nothing n here only open fields and a static caravan converted to showers and washing up facilities for the campers in tents or people in tour's i do hope we get a site this year. the views are awesome you can see all of northwales and right up in to the snowdonian mountain range, and all around you on the other sides is the ocean, we love it here because it isnt commercialised at all, and there is a lovely little cove just down the road that is lovely and really safe for the kids, it is a hotspot for scuba divers and people snorkeling and the cliffs are great fun for the kids to jump off in to the sea when the tide is well in of course, in the other direction is hollyhead mountain and southstack light house its beautifull there too, and just a few minutes drive brings you into hollyhead town where you have all the shops you could want. so im really looking forward to going tommorow and the drive down is very senic too its manly all coast roads. everytime we go here we find another gem of places to visit while there, so i cant wait to see where we discover tomorrow, we have decided to go on a saturday cause then we dont have to rush back and can take our time, without thinking we must get home for the kids to get to bed for school the next day, they dont go back till monday. il take my camera with me then you can all see how lovely it is there and i might get some nice snaps for my scrapbook layouts. my sister wants me to bring back seaweed for her allotment for the potatoe beds its supposed to be very good for them.

on saturday i was feeling a little better or i thought i was but OMG!! sunday i thought i was gonna die my head felt like it was just gonna explode off my shoulders and i felt so sick and naeuious, the room was spinning and my legs were wobbly so i took to my bed at 4 o'clock and didnt get back up till the following morning, if this is how the boys felt last week i not surprised they were misrable. so i havent kept up with my layout a day but i have kept up with not buying any stash. so i will have to double up and do extra layouts for the days i missed. when im feeling up to it.

spent the day outside in the fresh air today we went along to help my sister on the allotment not that i was much help i felt so weak, i couldnt even carry a bag of compost but all the fresh air and being out doors did the boys the world of good not a moresal was left on their plates and there both fast asleep now,

not looking forward to tomorrow, even though its valentines day there is a down side to it for me its the day we bury my friend vic and im not loking forward to seeing all those sad people i cant cope seeing people sad and crying...

feeling a little better

well today im feeling a little better but still freezing, i think i need some retail therapy. i have been given my favorite colour swap match so im gonna do my reteail therapy for that and i wont have blown my challenge by buying something for my own stash. it really snowed here yesterday i was hoping to get some nice pics of the boys in the snow for my layouts but its either been washed away by rain through the night or thawed very quickly, not to worry im sure we will have more snow soon.

The Washcloth: Ladies this has to be read, laughed at and passed on. There is not a woman alive today who won't crack up over this!

I was due for an appointment with the gynecologist later in the week. Early one morning, I received a call from the doctor's office to tell me that I had been rescheduled for that morning at 9:30 am. I had only just packed everyone off to work and school, and it was already around 8:45 am. The trip to his office took about 35 minutes, so I didn't have any time to spare.
As most women do, I like to take a little extra effort over hygiene when making such visits, but this time I wasn't going to be able to make the full effort. So, I rushed upstairs, threw off my pajamas, wet the washcloth that was sitting next to the sink, and gave myself a quick wash in that area to make sure I was at least presentable. I threw the washcloth in the clothes basket, donned some clothes, hopped in the car and raced to my appointment.
I was in the waiting room for only a few minutes when I was called in. Knowing the procedure, as I'm sure you do, I hopped up on the table, looked over at the other side of the room and pretended that I was in Paris or some other place a million miles away.
I was a little surprised when the doctor said, "My, we have made an extra effort this morning, haven't we?" I didn't respond. After the appointment, I heaved a sigh of relief and went home.
The rest of the day was normal ... some shopping, cleaning, cooking, etc. After school when my 6 year old daughter was playing, she called out from the bathroom, Mommy, where's my washcloth?" I told her to get another one from the cupboard.
She replied, "No, I need the one that was here by the s ink, it had all my glitter and sparkles saved inside it."

i got a great bargain yesterday at cost co a portable trolly with lots of storage space and great drawers that actually been designed to hold 12 x 12 papers

well that was a real challenge to window shop here, off i went to do my fcs shop and i didnt get a thing many times i was tempted but i did resist, its getting hard now to resist the temptation to buy espesially when i see a bargain. role on the end of feb and i can go splash out

im freezing

omg im bloody freezing, iam sat here with more skins on than an onion amd the heating on full blast and im still cold. i have the bug the boys had and im suffering i just want to go to bed, and sleep and get warm. wake up in april when its just coming warm.

my border terrier dog eddie died yester day so we are all a bit sad here he was about 17yrs old so he had a good long life for a dog, we still have mollie the bitch she is a border terrier too, and she is missing him already,
im going to go to bed so ill post the rest of my challenge layouts when im feeling better, i still havent bought anymore stash so im really proud of myself. and my stash is slowley going down although you cant notice.
i think i want a studio built in the back garden so i can go there and do my layouts and store my stuff there and let the family have the room back in the house to move or sit without my stuff being everywhere. i wonder if i could talk a certain simon in to building one for me?

challenge layouts

well dispite the boys being ill ive managed to keep up to date with my challenge and here are the last 3 days challenge layouts

well ive had alittle play around with the digital scrapbooking programme its very good , and i suppose it would save on storage space of all my papers and stuff but i think i will be sticking with the paper version of scrapbooking for now. its more theraputic.

my order arrived from gone scrappin today, cant wait to rip it open and see all the lovely papers i ordered, but if i do ill be temped to start using them and my challenge will be over i will have failed it. so im just gonna leave them sitting there in the box, till i know i am strong enough to resist, i dont have a lot of will power!!.

my two youngest are off school today, very poorley, they have that awful bug , raging temprature , cough sore throat and vomiting i have been up most of the night nursing them both , so im absolutely shattered, so it will be en early night for me tonight, not that ill get much sleep.

i received a free trial for a digital scrapbook programe in an email im gonna have a play around with it later today if the kids fall back to sleep and see what thats about.ill let you know how it goes.

sad news
at the weekend i got some very sad news. a very good friend of mine, had a fatal accident, he fell through a hotel window in london. four floors up, they tried to operate on his head injuries but they were to severe and sadley he died at 5.30am on sunday morning. im gonna really miss him.

well we are into february now and its not gonna be that long till summer, all those long dark days banished, i love the summer cant wait.
Oran was unwell through the night and of course only mum will do so not had a lot of sleep last night. been up and about since 5am and im feeling tired and grouchy now so god help the rest of them today lol!!

i havent posted my challenge layouts for a few days ive been busy, but i will get them up to date over the weekend.
i went to manchester to china town with my brother and sister last night we had a nice meal although im not very fond of chinese it was very nice, especially because my brother paid, i think that might be the only thing ever in my lif he has bought me!! so it mae the meal so much sweeter, lol.
just got back from knowsely safari park, the kids had a great time especially in the baboon compound they thought it hysterically funny when they jumped on the front of the car to hitch a ride , but they wernt laughing when they started taering piece of my brand new car. i have never owned a new car before in my life straight of the forecourt in october and its now minus the wash wipes not only did the rip them out but they proceeded to chew them up then strtigically placed them on the bonnet of the car to rub salt in my wounds, it wasbitter cold and terrible fog all day so im not spending long on the pc gonna snuggle up in front of the tv and get warm

this is my first layout of my challenge i got to use lots of scraps of paper on the paperquilting on the cirles, the boys were enjoying the carousel ride at euro disney. didnt get to do any more layouts today been working all day so i will do another later or start tomorrows laterwhen the boys are in bed, and i have some peace with out little fingers intefering and moving stuff they just cant resist to have a poke about with.

can anyone suggest a good photo editor to use to tweek my pictures. and has anyone any tips on digital scrapbooking??? ive seen llots of posts about it but what exactly is it and how do you get started with it any tips appreciated.

personal challenge

today i set my self a month long challenge to create a layout each day from my stash only. no more just buying on impulse only stock from my stash can be used on these pages. starting from today. so how long will it last i wonder???.
i also helped my sister paula to start her own blog on her newly aquired allotment. i cant wait for all the yummy homegrown fruit and veggies she is gonna grow, she is a fantastic cook so im looking more forward to sampling all those goodies she will be mustering up from her produce, she aint very pc literate so she will need some help from me and my other sister carol in getting her blog going. my other sister carol has a lovely blog page she is a wicked seamstress and puts together some unique one of a kind things go take a look here pink cottage and paula here paulas plot.

well i braved the winds and got to the workshop, im not exactly dissapointed but i thought that maybe they would be covering more exciting things, but i did enjoy it and got to learn a few bits i wouldnt have thought of, and seen some pretty cute layouts and how using the same materials that everyone of all who attended was different, i met some really nice people of all ages that was the best part,swoping ideas and being invited along to a club. thats held every month. also i bought some other stuff from the craft shop.... yeah more papers and a few punches. these are what i created on the workshop, but i seen a nice idea there that im going to try when the kids are in bed and i can have a go without interuption.

only one hour to go before i go off to my scrapbook workshop.... i cant wait.although i dont really fancy braving the winds we have here today, i hate driving in the wind especially when it shakes the car its very un-nerving. where we live is very rural and i have to travel along windy country roads to get to the workshop, seems like its gonna be a white knuckle ride getting there.....hope its worth it. ill let you know if it was when i get back

i couldn't belive the price of the papers in the clearence part. so i filled my basket lol now i cant wait for the post man to come. im gonna pop back there later today and fill another basket even with the shipping cost at between 25 cents and 50 cents compared to 60pence to £1.25 per sheet im still saving hugh and getting my fix of pretty papers just browsing this site.

well ive done a lot of surfing today. just spent the day looking at blogs, some lovely blogs out there got lots of ideas for my blog but not the techknolowdge, suppose a lot is trial and error .come across some beautiful layouts on scrappers blogs.
only one day till i go on my scrappin workshop im so full of hope that it will help me with my layouts, so you can be the judge and let me know if you can see an improvement, ill keep you posted on how the workshop was.

made a great discovery today, not to far from me in a little place called heywood i found a fantastic craft shop, ousing to the door with fantastic scrap items everything you could imagine, run by two sisters and very friendly i got my fix of papers for today from here some were only 10p....... Yeah 10p for 12 x 12 sheets so i got my fix and O.D. on them, i also found these pics of my sister and brother . im off to a scrapbook workshop on sunday see if my lo improve after that its at dawn bibby's craft shop in oswaldtwistle which isnt very far from me.

i love going to appleby fair, its where the gypsys have a week long fair selling horse's its also know as the courting fair. the teens of the travelers occupy themselves by racing the horse,s through the streets the riding them in to the river for a bath,an if one throws a shoe you can wath them re shoe it there and then on the spot, there are lots of old traditions to be seen i love all the old bow topped caravans and the little old ladys sat in the doorway of them, waiting to tell you your fortune, i try to go every year this layout is pics from last year, i love all the romany gypsy style things its welll worth a visit.

we discovered conway castle last year, on the way to anglesey to our caravan, i felt right at home there in the castle, (i told you all i was a princess but you all had forgot) the views were fantastic from the turetts and the seagulls were very friendly too.

i picked up a number of wall paper sample books, they are great for scrapbooking, saveing lots of money using them and they are great for the colour co-ordinations of the same design, gives you lots of ideas of colour schemes for layouts
